Mayor Zimmerman's farewell message to Menifee residents

Editor’s note: The City of Menifee will hold a special City Council meeting on Tuesday, Dec. 17 at 4 p.m. to recognize outgoing Mayor Bill Zimmerman and council member Lesa Sobek for their years of service, followed by the swearing-in of newly elected officials. There will be an opportunity for the public to speak during this meeting, and a reception following the meeting is planned. The new council will then conduct a regular meeting at 6 p.m. The following is a farewell message from outgoing Mayor Bill Zimmerman: I appreciate this opportunity to say "Thank you" for the privilege of serving this awesome city of Menifee, my hometown for over 35 years. We can be proud that our city is one of the safest in California. City Council proves tract map for Cimarron Ridge

By Doug Spoon, Editor The Menifee City Council last week approved final tract map 36658-4 for the Cimarron Ridge housing development in northwest Menifee. Cimarron Ridge will be located west of Valley Boulevard, south of McLaughlin Road, east of Goetz Road, and north of Thornton Avenue. This tract map is one of seven phases of the project by Pulte Homes. The subdivision will include 36.39 gross acres of land with 81 residential lots, including 10 lots for open space/water quality and draining purposes, and a 10.9-acre public park. This approved agenda item included “approval of the associated Subdivision Improvement Agreement (‘Agreement’) as required by the Project’s conditions of approval. The Agreement requires that improvement securities are posted to guarantee the completion of the required onsite improvements. The Agreement requires that these improvements be completed within 12 months from the date of City Council approval.”
